Spanish Official Demands European Union Lifts Gay Blood Ban
A Spanish MEP has criticized the European Union countries that prohibit gays from donating blood – and is demanding that the European Commission takes action against this collective discrimination. The two countries specifically mentioned are the United Kingdom and France, which continue their ban on all gays because they are considered an 'at-risk' group in relation to HIV.
